A Simple Reflection on Curriculum Making
I learned that the profile a Ph. D. Graduate should be an Educational
Leader, an Educational Leader is a good planner and to become and to become an
ideal Administrator should have evidence. He is a consultant and can influence
people and the best way is to change 100% of my attitude.
I realized that I should have to want something more, more than the
basic. Doctor of Philosophy should be financially stable. And should have to
experience the ability to reflect and should have to exert effort to change.
The Ph. D. graduate should be innovative and capable to show people how to
improve.
I realized that the definition of curriculum has started from the time I
decided to enroll until such time that I will finish my studies and earn a
degree of Ph.D. Ed Mgt. because curriculum is the total experiences. Every
teacher is a curriculum developer.

Reflection Convocation Summer 2012
To formally
start the classes right it was the culture of the Graduate School to hold a
convocation program for the purpose of giving all of us an orientation into the
whole system.
Last April 28,
2012 at AVR 3and 4, there was a convocation program and I learned the Graduate School
policies, standards and guidelines.
The program
started from 8:00-8:30 Registration of the participants, followed by the
opening remarks, Invocation, National Anthem, welcome address, we listened to
the Inspiring inspirational message from our Vice Presidents for Academic
Affairs Dr. Luvismin Sy- Aves at 8:30- 9:00 am, at 9:00-9:45 was the Policies,
standards and guidelines by Dr. Francis Thaise A.
Cimene the Dynamic and ever beautiful Dean of the Graduate School. I learned from her that if we lived it should be No excuses and
if we are asked to make a Reaction or Reflection it should be in a form like
that of a dissertation. Life should be more mature this time. Education is life
itself and the epics of higher Education is very good. In the Vision of the
Institution, I learned that “You can’t call yourself educated if you are not
happy.”: I should be happy all the time no matter what happen , I should have to pursuit what has been started
already. Dean discussed also about the CORE Values. First Competence was the
best we can be, we can manage the school competently and excellently, and I
must love Research. Learn Research by doing Research. Second, Commitment “I
should have to listen to my experiences not only to share knowledge But to
create knowledge, it should be according to my book, weigh the experiences and
the reality. The graduate Students enrolled were asked to read at least 50
books and make an Action Research in our Class of Dr. Luvismin Aves. I should
have to learn, and to learn more, for we were ask to make a research outputs or
papers. What I have learned that I should have to learn the Theory through
Research. Research creates knowledge. Third, Character involves leadership,
governance becomes destiny. Integrity can be learned. How do you think?
Research develops character, It involves a lot of hard work, I should have to
put my heart in everything I do especially in Research, and research involves
tenacity means that I should have patience to change for better ideas and No
turning back because it takes a character to finished a degree and once begins
it should be finished for a success or victory. Character is not an overnight
process. It takes long process. The higher you go you follow the steps. The
five steps of character were the, influence, I want to, done something for our
school, reproduction to the students and teachers and personhood means to
become what we are now, a legacy learned from our mentors and character was the
most ingredient part. I like the passion I develop from my Filipino language, I
develop the character of being considerate but consistent and firm in my
decision in time management .It develop my character through listening to the
different ideas. When do one thing, Do your best. Do not waste time, money,
effort and energy. When ask to do a term paper it should be published for
publication purposes or it should be done in a form of newsletter. I should
have to develop my writing skills, it might that there are rise and falls. I
should have the tenacity in writing until I will hit the success, most
especially in Statistics I found it highly technical but I should have to
inculcate that in my mind it was only easy and beautiful for it will develop my
character and my attitude as a student of the graduate school, I should have to
make it easy and always be humble. It was not a problem to analyzed data, life
is fair and it takes a character for me to improve. Fourth, Culture, Capitol University
is friendly, from the Presidents, registrar, VPAA Dr. Luvismin Sy Aves, to her behalf Dr.
Salvador Aves, Dr. Olga Alonsabe,all
Professors and most especially to our Dynamic Dean of the graduate
School. Life is easy why making it difficult?
The advance philosophy I’ve learned that education is of value only when
it goes with the virtue in the service. 9:45-10:00 am was the time of Mr.
Andrew A. Acobo, Student Services Affairs Office DSAS for the Research and
extension Programs, according to him we deserves nothing but the best, they
handles problem well. They wanted to guide the right direction at the guidance
office. They had also dental Clinic, medical and Campus ministry. The CUREXO
IDS Institute for Developmental Studies and it has 2 pillars, the Education
Academics and the Research and extension. 10:15 to 10:30 was the open Forum.
10:30- 11:00 am. Was the graduate school recognition by Dr. Frances Thaise Cimene
and the closing remarks done by Mr. Clifford Jose G. Roa, MBM-1, and President
of Capitol University Alumni Association.
The convocation ended a challenging
on my part as a student of graduate School and successful.
